Smart working usually means working with newer and improved technologies from the comfort of your home. This means that employees can carry out their duties wherever they deem fit. They are no longer restricted by the construction of the office space. This proves as a means of increasing productivity in employees.

Decrease in the number of sick days

Employees with flexible time schedules and a smart work model work more than those who clock in and out at work hours. For example, if an employee had a contagious illness like a cold or flu, other employees stand a large risk of contracting that disease, thus increasing the number of absent employees and reducing productivity. But an employee who is a smart worker does not need to come to the office when they have a minor illness. They can still carry out their duties and also ensure that their fellow employees are also healthy.

It is sometimes easy to deem someone who is always in your presence more loyal than one who’s working from home. Start to measure loyalty by results and not by presence. This causes other employees to sit up and it in turn increases productivity.
